This is Mrs. W.H. Ellis and son Henry, on their porch in Statesboro in about 1930. Mrs. Ellis employed Willie McTell's mother Minnie as a cook for a number of years, right up till Minnie's death in December 1920; Henry Ellis and Willie considered themselves friends. Henry's son and family still live in Statesboro GA today, and were interviewed for Hand Me My Travelin' Shoes.
