THREE DAYS TO GO: TODAY'S PHOTO

This is the cardboard cutout of McTell (artist unknown) which in the earliest years of the 21st Century stood in a corner on the second storey of Statesboro GA's City Hall. When McTell was alive, this building was the Jaeckel Hotel, by far the best in the region. Willie used to entertain tobacco salesmen and rich dealers when they sat out on the hotel's front porch, but he would not have been allowed to stand inside the hotel on the spot where his cutout stood later.
