THE OBSERVER MUSIC MONTHLY

Last Sunday, June 17, the Observer Music Monthly ran a small round-up item on the book, as follows:

Hand Me My Travelin’ Shoes - By Michael Gray (Bloomsbury) £25 ‘Nobody can sing the blues like Blind Willie McTell,’ sang Bob Dylan. Part biography/part travelogue, this is a fascinating exploration of the life of the Georgia bluesman from the great Dylanologist.”

Hi there, I'm looking forward to your book. I just had a quick question. Do you know if there's any film footage of Blind Willie McTell that exists? I've been scouring Youtube but haven't found any . . .

The description of this DVD says there's footage. I'll be damned if I'm paying 50 bucks for it, but I'd also like to see that
